Talaa

Data note

The short, readable version

Written to be read, not to be scrolled past. If anything here is unclear, email panel@talaabrands.team before you apply.

What we collect, and why each piece exists

  • Contact details (email, phone) — to reach you about studies and about your application. Nothing else.
  • Household and shopping details — to match you to the right cohort. A nappy study needs parents of babies, not parents of nine-year-olds.
  • Your children's ages, gender if you give it, and any needs like allergies — so we do not send you a product that is wrong or unsafe for your child. We never ask for their names or photographs.
  • One identity document and a short selfie video — used once, to confirm you are a real, unique parent. Panels attract fraud; this is how we keep seats with real families.

Who sees your identity document

  • A named verification reviewer at Talaa, once, at the moment your application is assessed. That is the entire list.
  • Documents are stored at unguessable addresses and are never rendered in a page, never included in an export, and never attached to your feedback. A reviewer can only open one through an authenticated staff route that checks who they are first.
  • Brands, agencies and study partners never receive it. Your feedback reaches the product team under a panel ID, not your name.

What can ever appear publicly

  • Only the coarse facts listed below, and only the ones you tick during the consent stage. Everything is off unless you turn it on, and you can change it at any time from your status page.

Keeping, and deleting

  • Identity documents are kept only while your application is open and for as long as your seat is active — they are deleted when you leave the panel.
  • You can withdraw at any time from your status page. Deletion is permanent: documents, personal details and children's details all go.
  • Anonymous, aggregated findings from studies you took part in may remain in our product research — they contain nothing that identifies you.
